Our Favorite Internet Links
http://www.flamingbarbecues.co.uk/Article/cajun-and-creole-cooking I'm not sure how Cajun cooking arrived to the UK (Cajun cooking is spreading across the continents), but this site has a lot of useful information and many great recipes. Bryan Lafleur's Hand Made Accordions Byran's hand made accordions will soon get it's own web address. Bryan has posted a few videos of his accordion playing and those of other players, plus a few misc. videos of general interest. Much information, recipes, and they sell an assortment of Cajun Foods; even a little Cajun music. A very informative website, featuring recipes, jokes, music and much information about south Louisiana and it's history. The site will eventually have over 200 pages on it.
These websites are a work of deep love and support
for our military forces, especially those who are overseas fighting for
our freedom. Mrs. Cindy Brown LeBlanc, from Lafayette, make videos of
anything that she can to take a picture of from our area to send to our
military overseas, along with letters and care packages...anything that
can brighten up their day. When writing to the
troops through AnySoldier.com, AnySailor.com, AnyAirman.com or
AnyMarine.com, it's best to start your letter with a "generic greeting"
like "Hello Brave Soldier" or "Dear Brave Marine". A lot of times the
contact person will give your letter to a "Battle Buddy" that hasn't
gotten a lot of support from home. This way, anyone who gets your
letter or card will feel like it was written to him/her. Visit our L'Anse Grise forum to discuss or ask questions about, or discuss, any subject you would like. Listen to, and download, hundreds of mostly vintage French music selections, in MP3 format, from many artists including, Dennis McGee, Bee and Ed Deshotels, Nathan Abshire and a host of others. Neal Pomea did an outstanding job of collecting music from every nook and cranny in Louisiana. Mike has a way with finding interesting information about almost everything. Working at the Alexandria and Ville Platte Public Libraries certainly has it's benefits. Rick and Christine Reid's personal webpage. Rick is from the Dallas/Fort Worth area and Christine is from the Lake Charles area - a great combination. These two know how to have fun and eat well. Dr. C. and Coach T. have taken upon themselves, the arduous, and distasteful, task of scouring the South Louisiana countryside and tasting boudin from as many locations as they can find and rating it. Well, somebody had to do it! See if your favorite boudin maker made the list. Great information here for our type of cooking. How to use a cast iron Dutch Oven, the art of making marinades, how to cook rice right, recipes and much more. Very helpful information. The site is published by Crawfish Net Inc. Télévision Terrebonne-LaFourche is an organization documenting, preserving and promoting the language and culture of Terrebonne and LaFourche Parishes by creating cultural, educational and informative shows. The program is sponsored by CODOFIL and administered by Rocky McKeon. Listen to some super Cajun French Hip-Hop music by
La Brise Du Bayou, a band in which Rocky McKeon plays every position,
the first of it's kind in Louisiana, and probably beyond. Rocky is
very talented in so many fields, it's almost unbelievable. A musician,
linguist, webmaster, writer, Cajun French ambassador and a great
communicator. We are going to hear more of this guy as time goes.
This tabloid, administered by Rocky McKeon, is
about today's pop culture written in Cajun French, geared for the
younger generation who are interested in learning French, or know
French and want to read about what's happening in today's pop
culture world.

Another one of Rocky McKeon's interesting websites.
He has very helpful information for learning Cajun French, song lyrics
and links to many Louisiana-related websites.
This website presents the opportunity for
discussion of anything associated with the accordion, including
learning to play, building, songs, etc. There is always a pretty
wide range of topics going one there.
Blog with much interesting Cajun information by
Chrissy LeMaire, a Kaplan, Louisiana native.
Over 1000 Traditional Cajun recipes available on
this site. No, I didn't count 'em, but there are a lot of 'em.
